The heritage of the Crystal Coast is as old
as the earliest explorers.
Step back in time at the Beaufort Historic
Site, where you may tour Colonial homes,
public buildings and gardens.
At the North Carolina Maritime Museum, you
can see wooden boat craftsmen at work on
classic craft of the region and visit the
artifacts of Blackbeard the pirate's flagship
Queen Anne's Revenge.
The Core Sound Waterfowl Museum, the
History Place, Fort Macon State Park and the
North Carolina Aquarium is where you'll see
historical artifacts and things found in the
sea.
Then throw in a visit to the Cape Lookout
lighthouse and the wild horses of
Shackleford Banks.
